What does “Susan Kubitz Sprachdienst“ mean?
Sprachdienst is the German for “Language Service” and the language service is provided by
Mrs. S. M. Kubitz, B.A. (Oxon.), D.S.S. , D.A.S.S., DipTransIoL, TEFL Cert. and team
As the address indicates, the translation service shares premises with part of my (German) husband‘s company (Dr. Kubitz Umwelttechnik, now Oberflächentechnik). He started a business here in 1994 which involved my leaving the UK permanently in 1996 and, to my surprise, starting a business myself. The customers who sought me out and then kept returning were the cause of my obtaining the Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation and becoming an entrepreneur and, indeed, an employer, in my own right. Those customers are still the be-all and end-all of my business - feel free to come and join them.
